Dawn Moffitt

Dawn (Biehl) Moffitt, 90, wife of the late James "Jack" Moffitt Sr., passed away on February 23, 2025 at

the Doylestown Hospital.

Dawn was born in Pottstown and was the daughter of the late Anna (Herrlinger) Biehl. She graduated from Pottstown High School and worked as a payroll assistant after graduation and later for Warker-Troutman Funeral Home as an office assistant and greeter.

In her younger days Dawn was an avid reader, enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, gardening, and doing needlework. She had a profound love of animals and adopted several rescue dogs and cats during her lifetime. In her later years Dawn resided at Providence Place at the Collegeville Inn where she was known for her wit and famous one-liners. While residing there she turned her artistic interests to coloring and enjoyed the activities especially those that involved arts, crafts and bingo. She loved to plan the most beautifully colored designs and even turned one into a Christmas ornament for her family. Above all, Dawn's one true love was her family. Dawn married at age 21 and celebrated 56 years of marriage and shared 5 children with her husband Jack. She loved fiercely and deeply providing support to not only her family but to all those around her. She is most fondly remembered for Sunday family lunches, holiday dinners her famous pot roasts and her baking. There was always place at her table for family and friends. She truly had a heart of gold.

Dawn leaves behind her memories to be cherished by her daughters, Lisa Terreri (husband Peter) and Rosemary Vey (husband Scott), five grandchildren Tyler Hopp (Grace Mason), Bryan Hopp (Christina), Emily Vey-Schmidt (Martin), Sarah Vey, Katie Moffitt, and two great grandchildren Maddy Eaton and Alaina Moffitt.

Along with her husband and parents, Dawn is predeceased by her children James Moffitt, Jr., Patricia Eaton, Gerald Moffitt, her grandchildren Elizabeth Vey, James Moffitt and Daniel Eaton, and her sisters Elaine Lozenski and Sharon Kolessar.
