Darius L. Care

Darius L. "Sonny" Care, 83, widower of Joyce M. (Mace) Care of Birdsboro, PA died Saturday May 4, 2013 at Golden Living Nursing Home, Reading, PA . Born in Union Township, he was the son of the late Harry & Helen (Miller) Care. Sonny was a carpenter for the Warren B. Zern Company formerly of Pottstown, PA and then became a union carpenter with local 1595 for over 35 years. He was a member of St. Gabriel's R.C.C. Howard & Jefferson Streets in Stowe, PA and a member of the Union Lodge # 479, F.& A.M. of Birdsboro, PA and the Reading Consistory. Surviving is a son Dennis L. Care husband of Diana of Boyertown, PA and two daughters Carol A. wife of Jeffrey Kulp of Birdsboro and Susan Yoder wife of Charles of Douglassville, PA. He is also survived by a grandson Branden Care. Also two granddaughters, three great-granddaughters and a great-grandson Sonny is also survived by two brothers George Care husband of Linda of Union Township and Lester Care of Gibralter, PA and a step-brother R. Robert Miller of Florida. Also, a sister Sara Ehling of Boyertown, PA. He is pre-deceased by a son Ronald Care and a sister Helen Mulholland and a step-sister Lorraine Rauenzahn. Funeral services will be Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10 A.M. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA with the Rev. Thomas A. Nasta, pastor of St. Gabriel's R.C.C. officiating. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. A viewing will be Friday from 9-10 A.M. at the funeral home.
