It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Daphne Carol Schultz, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who gently left this world on January 20, 2026, at the age of 92. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, to Marvin and Bess (Parker) Maynor, Daphne carried the grace of her Appalachian roots with her as she settled in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where she became a cherished member of her community.
Daphne married the love of her life, Robert, (Bob) Schultz in 1956. They had 56 wonderful years together until his passing in 2012. As a devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She was intricately involved with Landover Hills Baptist Church, in Landover Hills, MD, where her unwavering kindness and patience shone through in every endeavor. Whether teaching Sunday school, tidying the church or participating in senior activities, Daphne's spirit was a guiding light to all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Daphne loved to walk each day, finding tranquility in the simple rhythm of nature. Her heart swelled with pride for the Washington sports teams-particularly the Washington Commanders and the Washington Wizards-reflecting her enthusiastic spirit and fierce loyalty.
At the passing of Bob, the Heltzel's were blessed to have her share their home in Pottstown, PA.
Daphne's legacy will continue through her children, Nancy Heltzel (Dennis), Dennis Schultz (Brenda) and Robert Schultz, who carry forward her values of love and compassion. She was a doting grandmother to Joshua, Jennifer, Emily, and Lana, and a great-grandmother to Titus, Caleb, Eliana, Olivia, Adeline, and Gabriel. Daphne is also cherished by her siblings, Barbara and Gene who will hold her memory close to their hearts.
In addition to her parents, Daphne was predeceased by her siblings, James, Tom and Doug.
Daphne's life was a tapestry woven with grace, love, and unyielding faith. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the spring or summer.
Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve Daphne's family.
Daphne's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, a beacon of warmth and kindness forever illuminating our paths. Let us all celebrate her incredible life, as we reflect on the love she so freely shared and the countless lives she touched.
