Daniel G. Miner

Daniel G. Miner, 58, of Douglassville, PA died Friday August 30, 2013 at his residence. He was the companion of Cary Parker for the past thirty-five years. Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of Marie B. (Delaney) Miner with whom he resided, and the late Gerald M. Miner. Daniel was a Certified Nursing Assistant. He had last worked for the Montgomery County Emergency Services for five years. Prior to this he had worked at the former Pennhurst State School and the Devereux Foundation. Dan had attended Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA . He was an avid piano, organ and guitar player and he loved to sing. Surviving with his companion and mother is a sister Joanne B. wife of Heath Marisseau of Oley, PA and a niece Jennifer Wismer companion of Danielle Serfontein of Stowe, PA and his favorite pet Lulu and many friends. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. , 127 East Howard Street, Stowe, PA on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Gregory J. Hickey, Pastor officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 9-10:30 A.M. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society c/o National Penn Bank, 1830 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
