Damon Acy Carter

Damon Acy Carter, 18 years old from Pottstown, PA, died suddenly at home on Friday June 29. He was born in Phoenixville Hospital on September 22, 1993. He was the son of Torrance Acy-Carter of Clovis, New Mexico and Guy Carter from Pottstown. Damon graduated from Pottsgrove High School on June 8, 2012. Pottsgrove Middle and High Schools is where he discovered his love for running and high jumping. He was also a member of the Montgomery County Youth & Empowerment Program. In addition to his parents, he is survived by ten siblings. He leaves to cherish his memory; six brothers, Guy Carter, Jr. husband of Melanie of New Castle, Delaware, Brent Carter of Capital Heights, Maryland; Darin Carter, Bryce Carter, Cameron Carter and Aidan Carter of Pottstown; three sisters Alexandria (Alli) Carter, Kerri Carter and Jazlyn Carter all of Pottstown. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Dorothy and Leroy Watson of Stowe, one niece, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Friends and family may gather in Pottsgrove High Schools lobby on Thursday July 5, 2012 at 10 A.M. followed by a memorial service at 10:45 A.M. in the high school auditorium. Following the memorial service a reception will be held from noon-1:30 P.M. in the cafeteria. From 1:30-1:45 P.M. everyone is invited to walk a lap around the Pottsgrove track in honor of Damon...a final goodbye.
