Clement S. Seroski, 90, husband of Betty J. (Knauer) Seroski of Gilbertsville passed away peacefully on Friday May 17, 2013 at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born on November 2, 1922 in Ranshaw, PA, he was the son of the late John & Pauline (Karwoski) Seroski. He attended St. Anthony's Parochial Catholic School in Ranshaw, PA . Clem was a veteran of the U.S. Army who participated in the defense of the island of Oahu and witnessed the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He also served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from active reserves in 1973. Clem served as a Pennsylvania State Police Officer for 29 years, retiring in 1975 as Lieutenant Officer in charge of Pennsylvania State Police, Montgomery County. He then acted as Chief of Montgomery County Detectives for 7 years. He was also an independent Private Investigator and Consultant for 7 years. Clem acted as Waste Management and Recycling Coordinator in Douglass Township, Director of Berks-Montgomery Municipal Authority, and Vice Chairman of Montgomery County Soil Conservation District. Clem's memory lives on at the Clement S. Seroski Recycling Center, named in his honor. In addition to his wife of 25 years, Clem is survived by his children David M. husband of Susan of Trabuco Canyon, CA, Patricia J. O'Neill, wife of David of Lansdale, PA, Beth A. Dimarcantonio, wife of Edward of Wayne, PA, Debra M. Solazzo, wife of Richard of Boyertown, PA, Nadine A. Kirkpatrick, wife of Richard of Jenkintown, PA, and Marcy L. Marks, wife of Daniel of Douglassville, PA; his siblings Bertha Readly and John Seroski; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He is pre-deceased by his first wife, the former Colleen O'Neill and siblings Stanley, Anna, Edward, Thomas, Josephine and Anthony. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on Saturday, May 25 at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C.C., 610 Pine St., Bally, PA. at 11 A.M. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00-10:45 am at the church. A viewing will be held Friday, May 24 between 7:00-9:00 pm at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High St, Pottstown, PA. A private burial will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Clem's memory to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd.
