Christine E. Jones

Christine "Chris" E. Jones (Cusanelli) of Pottstown, PA passed peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the age of 93. She was born in Summit Hill, PA on September 22, 1931 to Anthony Cusanelli and Mary (D'Angona) Cusanelli.

Her mother was 7 months pregnant with Chris when she arrived at Ellis Island from Italy and then they made their way to Summit Hill, PA. Her baby girl, Christine, was the first born of five siblings. Chris was a 1949 graduate of Summit Hill High School and then started her career as a sewing machine operator in a dress factory where she made children's clothing.

In 1952, she married the love of her life, John R Jones, to whom she was married to for 67 years until his passing. Chris is survived by her children Kati Artis (husband Vince), Chrissy Ziemak (husband Tommy Deceased), John Jones (wife Maria), grandchildren Erin Ziemak, Michael Ziemak (wife Becky), Jonathan Jones (Fiancé Krista), Jessica Jones, Jenna King (husband Matthew) and great grandchildren Charlotte King, Penny Ziemak and Jonathan Jones, Sophia Stanford, sisters Dolly Schuetrumpf and AnnaMarie Kruczek.

She will be reunited in heaven with her dearly beloved husband, John, brother Patrick Cusanelli, sisters Martha Cheehan, Louise Snoha, her son in law, Thomas Ziemak, granddaughter Alexa Artis and great granddaughter Gracie Ziemak.

Chris worked at PMMC as a laundry aide before retiring in 1985. She was also a member of St. Aloysius, Knights of Columbus Ladies Guild and the TriCounty Active Adult Center. Above all else, Chris loved her family dearly and especially loved being "Nan". You could find Chris either in the kitchen cooking, baking, talking on the phone, reading a book or doing her word search puzzles. She loved to sew and could always be found hemming or recreating something. She was a social butterfly and enjoyed her days at Keystone Villa joining many activities especially playing bingo, Friday afternoon happy hour and chatting with her friends. She traveled often with her husband and lived a full, plentiful life.

To know her was to love her and her infectious smile will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Chris was an old soul, but truly young at heart.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10a.m. to 11a.m. at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church at 127 Jefferson St. Stowe, PA. Eulogies will begin at 11:15 a.m. and Mass to follow at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church.

Entombment will be private for family only.
