Charles  R. Charlton, 82, devoted husband of Patricia "Pat" (McFarland) Charlton, will be lovingly celebrated as he journeys into eternal rest. Charly passed away on December 2, 2025, at Reading Hospital, surrounded by his cherished family.

Born on April 26, 1943, in Darby, PA, Charly was the son of the late Thomas and Pauline (Tesla) Charlton Sr. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, actively contributing to his community and celebrating life alongside friends and family. Known for his passion for horticulture, Charles could often be found outside, nurturing his vibrant gardens, which reflected his love for life and beauty. His extraordinary talent as a woodworker showcased his creativity, as he crafted stunning pieces that will be treasured for generations. A true history buff, Charles had an insatiable curiosity that he loved to share with those around him.

Charles's heart belonged to his family, especially his devoted wife Pat. Together, they created a warm and joyful home filled with love and laughter. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Charles is survived by his beloved children, Cathleen Gregory and Kitty Charlton, along with his brothers, Thomas, David, Paul, and Kevin Charlton, and his precious grandchildren, Lindsey Gregory (fiancée Eddie), Kiersten Gregory (husband Jake), Kyle Jaxheimer, and Stephanie Jaxheimer.

He is predeceased by a brother, Christopher Charlton.

In celebration of Charles remarkable life, a Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church in Pottstown. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Charles.
