Cecilia Theresa Tshudy

Cecilia T. (Koren) Tshudy, 95, wife of the late Paul Tshudy, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2023 at Sanatoga Center.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Koren.

Cecilia attended Pottstown High School and later enrolled in Robert Fiance Beauty Academy in New York City and Empire Beauty School in Reading, PA. Once she received her cosmetology license, she worked for several different salons in the Pottstown area for over 50 years: Miss Edith's, David Frain Beauty

Salon, Mane Lines and Anita Stott Beauty Salon.

Cecilia loved her family, especially her husband Paul; they were married for 51 years. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and visiting North East, MD, Las Vegas, and the Caribbean. Cecilia loved her animals and most of all her cat, Buddy, who resides with Kathleen since 2017. She enjoyed her Slovak heritage and cooking the Slovack foods.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Senior Citizens Club and enjoyed all activities. She would go on White Star Tours to the Jersey shore with her best friend Helen. Cecilia was a life-long member of the Holy Trinity Church in Pottstown. Her father helped construct the Church in the mid 1800's. She later became a member of St. Gabriel's of the Sorrowful Mother's Church in Stowe, PA.

Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Tshudy, brother Joseph Koren and sister Mary (Koren) Kavoski. Two grandsonds, Paul Tshudy III and Douglas Stout.

Along with her husband and parents, Cecilia is predeceased by a son, Paul Tshudy Jr., and siblings: George Koren, Francis Koren, Anna Goggins and Bernadette Gryzwacz.

A mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St Gabriel's Church, Stowe.

Inurnment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Gabriel's of the Sorrowful Mother Church in Stowe, PA.
