Carrie E. Mcalpine

Carrie E. McAlpine, 90, of Pottstown, passed away at her residence on Saturday, December 14th, 2024.

Carrie was born on August 2nd, 1934 to Eroy and Carrie Phillips in Douglass, Georgia. Carrie grew up there with her 10 siblings: the late Eddlee, Ocie, Simon, Lamar, John, and Kemp Phillips; and her surviving sisters, Marianne Brownie, Jenny Young, and Margie Sanders.

Carrie graduated high school in Douglass and went on to work in quality control at Container Corporation for many years until her retirement in 1990. Carrie went on to have two children: Larry Phillips, husband of Carlene Phillips; and William McAlpine, whom she had with her late husband, Mose McAlpine. Carrie was also blessed with five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In her free time, Carrie loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening and was a sister at the Montgomery Elk's Lodge. Carrie will be dearly missed by her family and all those who knew her.

A Celebration of Life in Carrie's memory will be held on Thursday, December 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 E High Street, Pottstown, 19464, with a burial to follow at Limerick Garden of Memories. A viewing will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the same date. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home is honored to serve the McAlpine family.
