Carl L. Watkins

Carl L. Watkins. 86, companion of Lucy Watters and husband of Lillian (Lewis) Watkins of Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford, PA passed away on Friday February 2, 2018 at Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford, PA . Born in Pottstown, PA he was the son of the late James and Irene (Jones) Watkins. Carl was a Journeyman for the Doehler-Jarvis Corporation formerly of Stowe, PA. He was a long time member of the Borough of Pottstown Tree Commission and was a Constable for Montgomery County. Carl was a 1949 graduate of Pottstown High School. Surviving with his companion and wife are three sons Carl L. Watkins, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, Andre Watkins of Pottstown, PA and Jason Watkins of Pottstown, PA. Carl is pre-deceased by a daughter Pamela M. Watkins. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by two brothers James C. Watkins, Jr. and Thomas Watkins. He was also pre-deceased by four sisters, Edith Watkins Rodgers, Pearl Nance, Mildred Brooks and Laura Baker. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 11 A.M. from the Bethel Community Church 575 Keim Street, Pottstown, PA with the Rev. Dr. Vernon Ross, pastor officiating.
