Barbara J. Mauger

Barbara Mauger, gifted classic pianist and beloved family matriarch, passed away reluctantly at 83, a victim of Father Time, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Barbara grew up in the Pottstown area where her parents, the late John and Sophia (Kobza) Dimon, ran a store. She attended the Pottsgrove school district and driven by a love for music, studied at the Conservatory of Music in Philadelphia. Throughout her life she enjoyed teaching piano and playing for events at the local country club. Barbara loved spending time with her family and gardening, and could often be found at the beach or poolside, soaking up the sunshine she so radiantly shared with others.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church and enjoyed going to the gym where she would catch up with friends.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years David (Jake) Mauger IV.

A cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara is survived by her daughter Jean, wife of Mike Gauger and son David Mauger V, her grandchildren, Michele, Rochelle (partner Nick Skwarek), Jonelle, and Bobby Gauger (partner Maddy Seachrist) and grandsons David (DJ) Mauger VI (fiancee Jess Bewick), Dustin (wife Becky), Josh, and great grandchildren, Allison and Elliott Reedy, Logan Mauger, and David Mauger VII (Jake).

She is also survived by her sisters Patsy, wife of Michael Anastasi, Joan Elliott, and Lyn Lowe.
