Anthony Minotto

-Anthony Minotto, 83, husband of Adeline "Rose" (Weiss) Minotto and widower of Patricia M. (Mitchell) Minotto of Douglassville, PA passed away on Tuesday July 29, 2014 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Stowe, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Cecelia (Minotti) Minotto, Sr. Tony had worked first at Columbia Boiler of Pottstown, PA and then went into business with two of his brothers Ernie & Gus at A.E. Minotto, Inc. 1496 Ben Franklin Highway, Douglassville, PA selling used auto & truck parts. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Tony was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. Howard & Jefferson Streets in Stowe, PA . He was also life member of St. Gabriel's Lodge in Stowe, PA where he served as president for thirty-three years. He was also a life member of the German Club and the Quoit Club both of Pottstown, PA and a member of the Pottstown Orioles and the Pottstown Elks Lodge. He enjoyed bowling, playing shuffleboard and horseshoes at many of the clubs. Tony was also an avid hunter and fisherman and was a life member of the Lower Pottsgrove Sportsman's Club and a member of the Birdsboro Sportsman's club. Tony was a District Commissioner for the Hawk Mountain Boy Scout Council for more than twenty years. He was also the Douglass Township Emergency Management Coordinator for thirty-three years from 1973-2006. Survivng with his wife Rose are four sons Gerald "Jerry" Minotto of Boynton Beach, FL, Mark Anthony Minotto husband of Stacey of Wake Forrest, NC, John Minotto and Michael Beard both of Illinois. He is also survived by a daughter Paula Johnson also of Illinois. Tony was pre-deceased by a son Anthony Minotto. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Tony is survived by two brothers Ralph Minotto of Stowe, PA and Augustus Minotto of Birdsboro, PA and a sister Catherine Sands of Douglassville, PA. He was pre-deceased by by seven brothers and three sisters. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. 127 East Howard Street, Stowe, PA on Monday August 4, 2014 at 11 A.M. A viewing will be Sunday evening August 3, 2014 from 7-9 P.M. and Monday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. both at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA .
