Annabelle M. Skokowski, 87, loving widow of the late Edward S. Skokowski, Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3rd, 2022 at Chestnut Knoll's Memory Care Facility in Boyertown, PA.

Born in Pottstown, PA Annabelle was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Zueno) Petzer. She was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Reading, PA. Annabelle initially worked as a front desk clerk and secretary at the Pottstown office of Metropolitan Life Insurance. During that time, she met and married Edward S. Skokowski. After raising three sons and a daughter, Annabelle took on a part-time job as a sales associate and later an Assistant Manager at Musselman (Lippman) Jewelers in the Coventry (Norco) Mall. While still working at the jewelry store, she obtained her Property & Casualty Insurance License and started full time as a Customer Service Representative and Accounting Manager for Vlahos Dunn (Stamm & Sons) Insurance. In retirement, Annabelle worked in the greenhouse and as a cashier for Strogus Flower Shop in Pottstown, PA.

She was a long time member of Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Pottstown, PA.

In addition to being a devoted, loving mother and homemaker, she was a dedicated den mother for her sons' cub/boy scout troops. Annabelle loved to do puzzles, play card games, and gardening. Traveling was a passion for Annabelle. Whether it was visiting their children in various locations across the country or attending several H-3-1 Marine reunions, Annabelle created cherished memories with Ed, her husband of 58 years. She was most fond of their trip to Italy, when she had the chance to see Pope John Paul II in person.

Surviving are her four children, Edward S. Skokowski, Jr., husband of Diana of Pacifica, CA; Richard A. Skokowski, husband of Laura of Sycamore, IL; Andrew J. Skokowski, husband of Janet of Wakefield, RI, and Linda M. (Skokowski) Carpenter, wife of Dean of Gilbertsville, PA. Annabele is also survived by her six grandchildren, Phillip A. Skokowski, husband of Hillary; Lea J. Skokowski; Nicholas E. Skokowski; Kent R. Carpenter; Robert A. Skokowski; and Gillian R. Carpenter; seven step-grandchildren, Jacob Lesniewski, husband of Kellie; Mary Lesniewski-Jones, wife of Brett; Catherine Lesniewski; Joseph Lesniewski; Rita Lesniewski; Dominic Lesniewski, husband of Abigail; and Abraham Lesniewski, husband of Sarah Also, two step-great grandchildren; Logan and Taylor Lesniewski.

Along with her parents, Annabelle was predeceased by three sisters; Irene M. (Petzer) Frock, Elizabeth (Petzer) Philipanics, and Gloria A. (Petzer) Panoc; and a brother, James A. Petzer; a cousin, Betty Hoffman; and a nephew, Mark Zapata.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 223 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA 19464 on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Pottstown, PA. A viewing will be on Saturday morning preceding the funeral mass from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Saint Aloysius Gathering Center.
