In loving memory of Ann Marie King
Ann Marie (Werner) King, age 81, of Pottstown, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, due to complications from a recent surgery. She was the wife of the late Thomas N. King and mother to five children including two sons she has joined in heaven, Thomas Michael and William Edward. She is survived by her son Christopher King (Jessica), daughter Maureen Howard (Robert), and son Michael King (Ashley); and grandchildren Will, Tori, Ryan & Grace Howard, and Emily & Thomas King. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest gifts in life.
She was born in Jamaica, NY, May 17, 1941, daughter of the late Max and Bridie (Finnegan) Werner and twin sister of the late Barbara Ann (Werner) Camlek.
She attended both Immaculate Conception and Dominican Commercial High School in Jamaica, NY. Ann began her career along with her sister Barbara at the American Seating Company in New York City. After a career respite to raise her children, Ann spent 25 years working and helping others at Samaritan Hospice. For the next 10+ years, she worked with her daughter, Maureen, at Baby Merlin Company. However, Ann's crowning achievement was being "Nana" to her grandchildren.
Ann took enormous pride in her large extended family and was thrilled to have her children and grandchildren living nearby. On the weekends she could be seen taking in any number of family led sporting events or sharing a quiet drink with family or friends. She enjoyed being involved in her church, and her recent community at Bucktown Crossing where she was president for several years. Ann made friends effortlessly and was deeply loved in all her friend circles. She cherished her lifelong friends from NY, NJ and PA.
Ann was truly a beacon of light. Her infectious smile and laugh brightened the lives of all who knew her. She was the kindest soul with a heart of gold. Her love of her family, friends and faith brought her tremendous joy. Ann will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
