Andrew Robert Washko

Andrew R. Washko, 92, husband of Anna (Ondo) Washko of Douglassville, PA passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. They shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Hazleton, PA he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Matej) Washko. Andrew was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Hazelton High School. He was drafted for the Korean War and served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He then worked for Bethlehem Steel and Minotto's garage.

He was an avid church goer at Holy Trinity R.C.C., Pottstown for most of his life and an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Bally Council 1192. He enjoyed spending time with friends, bowling, bingo, and eating. His passion for pets started with his army dog, Whitey and continued with years of pet sitting his three grand-fur-buddies. Andrew will especially be remembered for his ability to make people laugh and smile.

Surviving with his wife Anna is his son and three daughters: Michael Washko husband of Maryellen of Barto, Mary Lou Washko of Pottstown, Jane Falcone of Douglassville and Judy Morta wife of David of Douglassville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Bryan and Zachary Washko, Colleen Rhoads, Erin, David, Ryan, James, Isabella and Gage Morta. In addition are 4 great grandchildren: Molly, Carter, Landon, and Addyson.

Andrew was predeceased by five brothers: George, Joseph, Francis, John and Emil. He is also pre-deceased by four sisters: Mary Stevens, Irene Minotto, Helen Dori and Agnes Washko.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 11:00 am. at Immaculate Conception B.V.M. Church in Birdsboro with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Stowe. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Service will be available via livestream at www.https://www.warkertroutmanfuneralhome.com/
