Alfonso Marable

Alfonso Marable age 84 widower of Elgertha (Sykes) Marable of Terry Court, Douglassville, passed awy Thursday Feb. 10 in the Reading Hospital. Born in Birmingham, Ala. he was a son of the late Alfonso and Daisy (Hardwick)-Griggs Marable. He worked as a die cast manager for the Doehler Jarvis Corp. and was a member of St. Aloysius Church, Knights of Columbus and a US army veteran of WW II. Surviving are sons Alfonso Marable of Pottstown and Jerome Marable of Seattle, WA. Daughters Roslyn wife of Lonnie Bunch III of Washigton D.C. Jeraldine wife of Ralph Smith, Oaks and Juanita Marable of Caretown S. Africa. Brothers Sylvester and Henry Marable of Birmingham Ala. and Newstell Marable of Douglassville. Sisters Juanita Marable Hightower, Reading and Margaret Marable Seltman of Pottstown. Five Grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 am Friday in St. Aloysius Church Beech and Hanover Sts. Pottstown. Interment in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 6 to 8 PM and 9:30 to 10:30 am Friday at the Funeral Home.
